The Little Chef School will begin operating this spring.  In the meantime we are offering the following classes this month...

Tour of Italy

Students will learn the history of different pastas and Italian-American dishes while creating meals that they can make at home with minimal supervision.  Dishes include Lasagna, Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza, and Pasta Puttanesca.

* These classes are previews to our week long courses where students will learn to make many of the ingredients from scratch, including home-made pasta, vegan cheeses, homemade sauces and pizza dough.

Comfort Foods

Comfort food is food that provides a nostalgic or sentimental value to someone, and is generally characterized by its high caloric nature, high carbohydrate level, or simple preparation. The nostalgia may be specific to an individual, or it may apply to a specific culture.  Students will learn the true meaning of comfort foods as we discuss nostalgia while replacing harmful ingredients with foods their bodies will love.
